Hello, fellow PokeRogue adventurers! I've tumbled down the endless mode rabbit hole and emerged somewhere past wave 2300, still searching for my elusive Mewtwo. Here’s a deep dive into my experience, covering the highs, the lows, and a few ideas to make this amazing game even better.

What Keeps Me Playing

The addiction is real! Endless mode has a way of grabbing you and not letting go. I think that one of the big things for this is the interesting and unique movesets. Being able to experiment and make a pokemon that does what it normally doesn't is a game changer. I would go as far to say that this is what makes the endless so fun! And on top of that there is nothing more statisfing then watching the numbers continue to rise!

Changes I'd Love to See

Now, let's address a few pain points. The enemy damage reduction and damage tokens can feel incredibly unfair. One suggestion would be to implement an item that completely nullified these tokens so you could one shot the enemy. On top of that the selection of items within each of the teirs is lacking. A game changing suggestion would be to add a catch up item that makes it so that you can easily bring up another pokemon to the level of the main carrier. The lack of diversity can really put a damper on the fun with the endless mode. The last quality of life change would be to make the gacha targeted. It is horrible having to try and hope for the pokemon that you want to pop up.

Despite these gripes, PokeRogue Dex is an absolute blast. It has a great balance of skill with a small level of RNG that allows for each run to be new.
